  • Dr. Colin Gordon Black (Head of Department)
    Dr. Colin G. Black holds a Ph.D. Degree in Engineering from the University of Glasgow, U.K. He is also a Chartered Mathematician and a Member of the U.K. Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. Dr. Black has had over ten years' experience working in universities in the UK, Singapore and Thailand. In addition, he has had considerable experience working as an applied mathematician and software engineer for a number of research institutes and private companies in the U.K. His research interests include simulation, quantitative risk analysis, optimisation, engineering mathematics education, as well as the general application of mathematics to engineering problems.

    Dr. Black currently lectures in physics, engineering mathematics and mechanics of solids. (e-mail)
